Tucked away on a quaint side street in historic Georgetown, DC, we came upon The Yard at The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown—an alfresco dining experience.
Perched upon a slope, it's the perfect gathering spot for happy hour with friends, a solo martini or a relaxed night out.
The ideal sofa in the center of it all was waiting for us and we were welcomed with a view of the effervescent DJ, a patio draped with lights and of course—relentless people-watching.
First things first, cocktail time. This was not an easy choice by any means... Look at all these mouthwatering hand-crafted selections.
But who said we had to stop at one? This cocktail menu was meant for sampling. In between bass drops, of course.
The Rhubarb Rouge was the first to be enjoyed, later came the Summer Smoke, and we naturally finished off with Things Going South.
Absolutely delicious, keep them coming. With the cocktails well under way and feeling the bass, we turned to the food menu.
While it was hot and oh so humid that day, fresh and light was on the mind.
So we started off with White Balsamic Watermelon with local burrata, crispy capers and watercress, drizzled with olive oil.
Next, Local Prosciutto-Wrapped Summer Melon with a peach vinegar reduction.
Then came Mixed Tartare with both white and red tuna, black mojo, house-made aioli, carrot and citrus essence.
All of our choices were light, fresh and full of flavor.
Hungry yet? Or thirsty for more? Although no milkshakes in sight, The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown definitely brought this boy to The Yard.🍹
If you're looking for a place to enjoy tasty libations in an overly relaxed, trendy atmosphere, while watching the sun go down (or should we say south) under the twinkling lights—look no further than The Yard.
Always available by foot and Uber, but should you take the Bentley, complimentary valet parking is available.
