Jackson Volcano is a 66 million year-old extinct volcano 2,900 feet under the Mississippi Coliseum (built in 1962) in Jackson, Mississippi. The uplifted terrain around the volcano forms the Jackson Dome, an area of dense rock clearly noticeable in local gravity measurements. Who knew?
